1I The Quiet Zone

Last night, after hanging out with some friends in the quad in front of Chase hall, I went back to my dorm to start my second blog post. At home, I would normally do all my homework in my room, but I found it to be extremely difficult here in a college setting. The television in the room was on, my roommate was on the phone with her friend, and music was blasting from the room next to us. I began to realize I needed a quiet space if I was going to get any of my work done this semester.
The next morning I woke up earlier than I had to and headed over to the library before my 12:10 class started to finish my second post. I went to the second floor which was practically dead silent and began typing and editing my post. Not only was I able to focus and finish my blog post, I also got a huge chunk of reading and note taking done for another class. I was very surprised with the amount of work I got done just by changing the environment I was in.
The library was very easy to locate for the first time, its right across from the student center. I was glad I made the decision to do my work in the library, I will definitely choose to come back whenever I need a quiet environment to work in.
